Peer-to-Peer Learning Community:
Mapping Your Community’s Journey to Sustainability

Overview and Application Invitation

As part of our work with the System of Care National Evaluation, the University of South Florida Logic Model Team invites you to participate in a peer-to-peer (P2P) learning community on Using Logic Models for Sustainability. This P2P opportunity will offer participants the chance to learn new information about the utility of Logic Models in system of care implementation activities emphasizing their value in evaluation, continuous quality improvement and sustainability. The P2P offers community representatives the chance to come together in a virtual environment and collaboratively share experiences, trade lessons learned and support one another.

What is a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Learning Community?

A Peer-to-Peer Learning Community (P2P) establishes a structured network of partners who work together to learn and apply new knowledge. Each participating community will attend a series of facilitated learning/discussion sessions, and share experiences and problem solving strategies with other members of the P2P community. The focus of this series of facilitated learning /discussion sessions is on ensuring the utility of your community’s theory of change and logic model for evaluation, continuous quality improvement and sustainability. Resource consultants will be available as needed for support during the P2P process.

Expectations of the P2P Participants

We are inviting communities to apply to participate in the P2P. Four to six communities will be selected, and each will identify 2-3 participants for P2P activities. Participants will be expected to mobilize an inclusive team within their community to engage in follow-up activities and assignments.

As a first step, we strongly encourage P2P members to attend the Logic Model Discussion Hour being held at the Children’s Mental Health Research and Policy Conference in Tampa on Monday, March 21st at 4:30pm. A P2P Kickoff Session will also be held at the Conference (date and time to be announced).

P2P members agree to actively participate in each of the following learning/discussion sessions as indicated below (all times are EST):

  • Introduction to the P2P process, goals and expectations webinar on April 14, 2011 3:30-5:00pm.
  • Five 90-minute conference calls/webinars in 2011 from 3:30-5:00pm:

  • A follow-up face-to-face discussion and debriefing session to be scheduled during the System of Care Community Meeting in Chicago July 19-21, 2011
